When traveling with your pet internationally, there are health requirements specific to each country. Regulations may cause confusion and ultimately delay transportation if they are not met to the country’s specifications. Almost every country has different laws for entering with pets whether by ground or air.
In order for your pet to travel to Ukraine, there are a few requirements that must be met! These requirements are important in order for your pet’s transport to go quick and smooth — both when leaving the United States and also once arriving in Ukraine. To travel to Ukraine, your pet must obtain a USDA 7001 Health Certificate. Ukraine allows for the USDA Licensed Veterinarian to use the electronic signature. However, endorsement of the form must be done in the original ink and seal. Your pet must have an ISO compliant microchip in order to enter Ukraine. Pets 12 weeks and older entering Ukraine must have an up to date rabies vaccination and titer test, this must be done no less than 30 days before travel.
Once your pet has all of the requirements for Ukraine, your pet’s transportation will be an easy process!
- Health Certificate
- Rabies Vaccination & Titer Test (if older than 12 weeks)
Air Pet Transport to Ukraine
Airlines have their own regulations for transport. A health certificate may be required for transport even though it is not a regulation that Iraq has for import. Regulations may differ depending on which airline is being used for transport for your pet.
