Pet Transport: US to Turkey
When traveling with your pet internationally, there are health requirements specific to each country that will make pet transportation easier. Regulations can cause confusion and ultimately delay transportation if they are not met to the country’s specifications prior to transport of the pet. Almost every country has different laws for entering with pets whether by ground or air.
For your pet to be transported to Turkey, there are different requirements that must be met in order to have a smooth transport process from the United States to Turkey. Each pet should be accompanied by a USDA Health Certificate that identifies the pet with either a microchip or a tattoo. The following vaccinations and medical treatments must also be up to date before treatment.
- Rabies Vaccination or a Rabies Titer Test
- Ectoparasite Treatment (administered to the pet within 30 days of travel)
The Endorsement of the USDA APHIS Health Certificate must be completed no more than 2 days prior to the pets travel. Digital endorsement by the office is NOT accepted by Turkey.
Air Pet Transport to Aruba
Airlines have their own regulations for transport. An health certificate may be required for transport even though it is not a regulation that Iraq has for import. These regulations may change based on which airline is being used for your pets transport.
